Eastbound Interstate 70 in the foothills west of Denver has re-opened after a rollover crash forced a 90-minute closure of two lanes Sunday afternoon, jamming the highway.

The crash shortly after 3 p.m. involved two vehicles, and the driver of one vehicle was taken by ambulance to a hospital, Colorado State Patrol Trooper Tim Sutherland said.

The two lanes blocked during cleanup, in the Genesee Park area, re-opened around 4: 45 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Drivers along I-70 still would face delays, CDOT said in a bulletin.

I-70 often clogs on weekend afternoons as thousands of people roll down after weekend skiing and other activities in the mountains.
