Thursday’s weather forecast for northeast Colorado calling for temperatures 20 degrees above normal, wind gusts up to 30 mph and low humidity trigger another late winter red flag warning.
Westerly winds could gust up to 33 mph on the northeastern plains, according to the forecast by the National Weather Service in Boulder. Relative humidity is expected to be 15 percent or lower.
The high temperature in Denver will be around 76 degrees, according to the NWS.
The Front Range is under a fire weather watch and the northeastern plains are under a red flag warning.
“Critical fire weather conditions will develop once again across the eastern plains by late Thursday morning,” according to the NWS red flag warning for northeast Colorado.
Although temperatures on Friday will be a bit cooler than the past several days in Denver, the expected high of near 66 degrees is still above normal temperatures in the mid 50s for this time of the year.
The weekend will be balmy with high temperatures about 80 on Saturday and Sunday.
The first part of next week will be in the upper 60s, according to the NWS.
