Four finalists are vying for the president’s job at Colorado State University-Pueblo and will be visiting the campus next week.

A search to replace retiring CSU-Pueblo president, , began last September. Di Mare announced she would retire on June 30. Di Mare became the 14th president of CSU-Pueblo in December 2011.

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee recommended four finalists to the CSU System Board of Governors after screening initial applications and conducting in-person interviews with semi-final candidates for the position.

The national search attracted nearly 100 initial applicants from across the country.

The four finalists are:

  • Neal Weaver, vice president of advancement, Nicholls State University, Thibodauz, La.
  • Mark Arant, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Okla.
  • Timothy Mottet, provost, Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Mo.
  • Karl Spiecker, vice president for finance and administration, CSU-Pueblo
