I am听amazed that I, a liberal Democrat, could agree with Charles Krauthammer, a conservative Republican columnist. Yet we both admire the American system of government that provides the means via the courts, the states, Congress and the media to counter President Donald Trump鈥檚 鈥渋ntimations of authoritarianism.” Trump may rail against these democratic institutions for opposing his demands, but thank God for these counterweights.
