Gonzaga junior Josh Perkins had a memorable highlight Saturday during the Bulldogs’ Elite 8 win that nearly turned March Madness into mop madness.
With the Bulldogs hold a hefty 19-point lead over Xavier late in the second half, Perkins — a Denver native — jumped out into the lane, stole a lazy pass and ran out on a fast break. However, Xavier had one last line of defense, a court attendant who was mopping the floor.
Thankfully, she quickly got out of the way as Perkins slowed down for the easy bucket.
