The parent company of Bank of Colorado is buying AmFirst Bank, a small Colorado- and Nebraska-based financial institution with $260 million in assets.

The transaction, announced Wednesday by Pinnacle Bancorp, is expected to close in July. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are excited to welcome AmFirst Bank to the Bank of Colorado family,” Pinnacle chairman Sid Dinsdale said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to grow our relationships in Nebraska and Colorado.”

Family-owned Pinnacle Bancorp currently has $9.7 billion in assets and operates 39 locations in Colorado as Bank of Colorado and 61 locations in Nebraska as Pinnacle Bank.

AmFirst Bank has two Colorado locations — in Greenwood Village and Longmont — and three in Nebraska.
