The co-owner of Boulder Ice Cream was arrested again and faces new charges as police continue to investigate allegations he sexually assaulted employees over the past 15 years.

Scott Roy, 55, was previously arrested in December on suspicion of harassment and unlawful sexual contact, but was arrested again Wednesday and now faces eight counts of sexual assault.

The arrest affidavit in the case has been sealed, as police and prosecutors are still conducting a “complex investigation” to determine if there are even more alleged victims.

“The case continues to be under investigation, and the police are pursuing leads to determine if there are more victims,” Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett said. “As in any case, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.”

According to Boulder police, the allegations first came to light when two former workers came forward in 2015. Both women said they were hired to work on the production line at Boulder Ice Cream and at the Boulder Farmers’ Market.
