1 dead, 1 in jail after fight between contractors working on Craig Station power plant outage

Police say the men had visited several bars before the fight

CRAIG — Police say a man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a fight broke out between two contract crew members had been working on a power-plant outage in Craig.

that 36-year-old Raymond Terrill of Missouri was found unconscious in an alley early Thursday morning. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they’ve arrested 26-year-old Justin Blodgett of Grand Junction on one charge of manslaughter. He is being held at Moffat County Jail.

Craig Police Cmdr. Bill Leonard says the two men were co-workers working on the Craig Station outage, and had been at multiple bars earlier in the evening. Officers had responded to a disturbance involving the men at the Popular Bar that night.

Officials say Blodgett has been arrested twice on charges of assault, including one incident where he allegedly stabbed a man in the leg. The investigation is still ongoing.
