A group of people pulled a man out of his car and assaulted him before one of them got into his car and drove off early Friday morning in Colorado Springs.

A dark SUV pulled in front of the man as he was driving on South Circle Drive toward Interstate 25 from Janitell Road just before 1 a.m., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. A group of three to four suspects got out and exchanged words with the victim before the assault.

Police did not release the name of the victim but said the man didn’t recognize the suspects. No weapons were used and the man suffered minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
