In an industry like home health care, in which the bulk of care is delivered by field employees, it can be tough to make everyone feel like a valued team member. But with demand high for skilled caregivers, companies know itap important to try.
Team Select Home Care’s Colorado employees gave their bosses high marks for making them feel appreciated. “I have an amazing team around me (that) supports me completely, which makes me a better team player,” one wrote.
Tyson Wollert, Team Selectap vice president of growth, is based in Denver. “We pick the best people in every market and put them together,” he said. He meets with most candidates and “I screen for culture” – effective communicators, passionate caregivers, and nice people.
Team Select offers home health care services to Medicare patients recovering from an illness or injury, from skilled nursing or physical therapy to home aide services. Long-term care for children and adults is also offered.
As a parent of a “heart baby” who underwent dozens of surgeries, Wollert said, he understands what families go through. “Everything about what we do is stressful,” he said, so he hires compassionate and cheerful people who will ease those stresses for patients, families and co-workers, rather than add to them.
Regular feedback, transparency, good pay, helpful co-workers and supervisors, benefits, bonuses, fun activities, opportunities for training and growth, and a positive culture were praised by Team Selectap workers.

Team Select has offices in Denver, Loveland, Pueblo and Colorado Springs, offering both full- and part-time positions.
“Team is positive, fun, upbeat, best work environment I’ve ever worked in,” said a Team Select worker. “I’ve never had such an amazing nursing director and clinical supervisors.”
