Lakewood police don’t believe foul play was involved in the death of a woman last week.

Steve Davis, a police spokesman, said the woman — believed to be in her 50s — either died of natural causes or possibly an overdose. Her name has not been released.

Employees of the Walmart at 440 Wadsworth Blvd. spotted the body at about 4 p.m. on Friday and called police, said Rob Albrets, another Lakewood Police Department spokesman.

The death was initially being investigated as a homicide.
