A fire broke out Tuesday night in a Northglenn townhome and two people were taken to a local hospital.
The fire broke out at about 8:50 p.m. at 11604 Community Center Drive, according to North Metro Fire.
When firefighters arrived all residents were out of the unit, two people were treated on scene and then taken to the hospital. Further details on their injuries were not immediately released.
Firefighters able to extinguish the fire, which burned a two-story, end-unit with a basement.
The fire was contained to the one unit, which was heavily damaged. Residents in the adjoining unit were displaced by smoke and water damage. The building has a total of six townhomes.
The displaced residents were being assisted by the Red Cross. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. There were not other injures.
