Tuesday’s high is expected to top out just shy of 70 degrees in Denver and the warm up is expected to continue all week with a high close to 80 degrees by Friday, the National Weather Service says.
Although the week will be mostly sunny, there’s a chance for rain showers Friday night and Sunday night, said Bernie Meier, National Weather Service meteorologist.
The temperatures are a bit higher than average for this time of year, Meier said.
The forecast on the eastern plains calls for similar temperatures.
Temperatures in the mountains will be “cooler the higher up you go,” Meier said. Temperatures in the high country will range from the mid-40s to mid-50s.
