A body was found by workers Monday morning in Morgan County, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

The body of a man was found in a garage in the 19000 block of U.S. 34, according to the sheriff’s office.

The property, along the west side of Saunders Road, where the discovery was made has been vacant for several years. A demolition crew found the corpse.

An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday, and investigators hope to determine an identity, cause of death and how long the body had been there.

Investigators were at the scene Monday for about four hours.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call investigators at 970-867-2461.
