Interview with Steve Wilkinson, owner and operator
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
:It’s been an independent mail room since 1992, and my mom used to work there part-time for the various owners over the years. I would drive her there and pick her up once a week or so. Then in 1997, the business became available again, so I bought into it and I’ve been running it for the last 20 years now.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
:Good business without the politics — customers love that they can get faxes, mailing, notaries and copies all at the same place. I get a lot of compliments on how fast they are waited on and back out to get on with their day.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
:Being able to help people — directing them toward the correct path.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
:I think my biggest challenge is just being a small independent business competing with the franchises. It’s fun giving them a run for their money.

:Customers are surprised by how many services I provide. From shipping supplies, mailing supplies, private mail box rentals, copies, faxes, notaries, key duplication, business cards, labels and more.
