There is a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms beginning some time after 5 p.m. Monday. The chance for rain increases Monday night.

Rain is likely on Tuesday with a high temperature around 57 degrees. Expect strong breezes and a chance for snow Tuesday night, but no accumulation is expected in the Denver metro area, the weather service says.

Rain is possible again Wednesday evening and afternoon rain and thunderstorms are expected Thursday, according to weather forecasters.

The high temperature on Friday will be around 48 degrees, but the low could deep below freezing so snow is possible Friday night into Saturday.

Sunshine is expected to return to the metro area on Sunday, the weather service says.
