A 23-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was stabbed in broad daylight on a Commerce City sidewalk Friday morning.
The condition of the victim, who was stabbed in the “upper torso,” was not available, according to Cmdr. Charley Schoepflin of the Commerce City Police Department.
No suspects have been arrested.
The victim was arguing with a group of men at around 7 a.m. on a sidewalk near the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Dahlia Street, Schoepflin said.
During the confrontation, one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, he said.
The suspects then climbed into a maroon-colored SUV and drove south on Dahlia Street, Schoepflin said.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation, he said.
