I fail to understand how our president is so uneducated about a matter that not only reshaped our country but is, as your article stated, “discussed from middle school classrooms to university lecture halls.”
Donald Trump said in an interview, “People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War, if you think about it, why? People don’t ask that question, but why was there a Civil War? Why could that one not have worked out.”
Our president’s lack of knowledge, not only on this matter, but on the three branches of government, is stunning. I find his ignorance an embarrassment to our country. Keeping silent about the constant barrage of falsehoods and mis- or un-informed statements is no longer an option.
