A collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Interstate 70 Friday afternoon killed a man and closed the eastbound lanes of the heavily-traveled highway between Wadsworth to Federal boulevards for several hours as the end-of-week rush hour commute got underway.
The highway re-opened shortly before 8 p.m.
Denver police said the collision occurred in the area of I-70 and Sheridan Boulevard and that traffic was being detoured on Harlan Street. The Colorado Department of Transportation advised drivers on its website to choose an alternate route in that area.
