Boulder Valley’s mountain schools close due to weather

The Boulder Valley School District announced that its four mountain schools will be closed Thursday due to weather conditions in the upper elevations of the county.

Those schools are: Nederland Middle/Senior, Nederland Elementary, Jamestown Elementary and Gold Hill Elementary.

The schools were initially placed on a two-hour delayed start, but at 7 a.m. the district made the decision to close them for the day.
