
After earning his first first-team all-pro selection and his third consecutive Pro Bowl nod, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris seemed in line for yet another honor from his fellow players in the league’s annual top-100 ranking.
Despite being a leader on the NFL’s best passing defense, Harris was voted by his peers as the , down from No. 52 in 2015.
When asked about his ranking Tuesday following the Bronco’s organized team activities, Harris could only laugh before he chose his words carefully.
“It’s just motivation,” he said. “Just adds more fuel to the fire. I might be the only first-team all-pro that didn’t make it into the top 50 probably. But, no, I need something like that. Getting all these awards and accolades and things, I guess it’s good to have one thing that keeps me motivated. I mean, it’s a joke though (laughs).”
