Longmont and Boulder County SWAT officers left the Evergreen Mobile Home Park in Longmont Monday night after spending much of the day trying to get a barricaded suspect out of a home.
Ultimately, law enforcement officers said they were unable to locate Kyle Scarbrough, 30. Although he may have access to firearms, officers believe there is no danger to the public.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Longmont Police Department responded to the mobile home park at 10:15 a.m. to evict Kyle Scarbrough’s brother, Dustin Scarbrough, 28, as well as arrest him for an outstanding warrant.
Dustin Scarbrough was then arrested and taken to the Boulder County Jail.
Police and sheriff personnel said they were aware that Kyle Scarbrough had active warrants for his arrest. Officers said they saw Scarbrough when approaching the mobile home and that he fled into it.
