A juvenile wanted on several felony and misdemeanor warrants was caught early Thursday morning by a police dog after he attempted to escape from an east Colorado Springs home, police said.
Police said officers responded about 1 a.m. to the 1500 block of Swope Avenue to make the arrest. They knocked on the front door while the juvenile fled through a window on the backside of the home.
The juvenile refused police commands to stop and began to run, prompting officers to release the dog. After the dog stopped the juvenile, he was taken to Colorado Springs hospital for treatment, police said.
