With Michael Jackson’s falsetto and a millennial penchant for writing songs almost exclusively about partying until the sunrises, Abel Tesfaye’s the Weeknd is a hot pop commodity these days.

No wonder, then, that the singer has added to his already announced Legend of the Fall tour with a handful of dates in Canada, New Zealand and the U.S. — including—a stop in Denver.

The Weeknd will play the Pepsi Center on Sept. 29. Rapper Gucci Mane will perform in support. Tickets are $39.75-$125.75 and go on sale June 16 at 11 a.m. MT. via

The show marks Tesfaye’s second-ever show in the Denver area, and first since his show at Broomfield’s FirstBank Center back in 2013, in support of “Kissland,” his debut studio album. From of that show:

From behind a long screen bearing the projection of a gaunt monochrome face, Tesfaye and his three-piece band started into “Adaptation,” and was met with a sea of camera phones, all trying to capture an uploadable glimpse of the illusive singer. They’d get their chance when the veil fell away and Tesfaye flowed into the next two songs in sequence on the album, “Love In The Sky” and “Belong To The World.” Despite the dramatic intro, the man isn’t as camera shy as he’d have you think. He embellished his fast vibrato with the occasional Michael Jackson wrist flick, serenaded audience members and even promised to give the city of Denver multiple orgasms at one point.
