Expect hot, dry weather into the weekend in the Denver metro area

Highs in the 90s expected through Saturday

Temperatures will rise into the 90s for the next few days in Denver, according to forecasters.

The high on Thursday is expected to reach 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Soft southwest winds of between 5 to 8 mph are forecast.

The low temperature Thursday night will be around 56 degrees, the weather service says.

It will be sunny, with a high of around 92 on Friday. Winds out of the southwest could gust up to 20 mph.

There’s a 20 percent chance for afternoon rain on Saturday, the weather service says.

Sunday will be a bit cooler with a high of about 81 degrees.

Temperatures will rise again during the work week, reaching 94 by Wednesday, the weather service says.
