Heather "Helena" HoffmannFORT COLLINS — Police say the death of a woman whose body was found in a lake in northern Colorado is suspicious.
reports 23-year-old Heather “Helena” Hoffmann was found dead in Sheldon Lake at Fort Collins’ City Park on Wednesday evening. Investigators have not said how she died.
Hoffmann was last seen at 1 a.m. Wednesday leaving work at a McDonald’s about a mile south of the park.
One of her friends, 25-year-old Brittany Wilson, of Loveland, told the newspaper that Hoffmann was always careful and likely would not have stopped for a stranger. Wilson described the young mother as “doing well and good and amazing” before her death, despite experiencing a “rough past.”
Police have not released any other information.
