Re: “” June 16 Greg Dobbs column.

As a 50-year veteran of journalism (and active member of the Denver Press Club), I give more credibility to interviews with influential leaders if they follow the style of Stephen Sacher (from “Hard Talk” on the BBC).

As soon as an interviewee starts to stray into the realm of PR talking points or sidesteps the question, Sacher immediately re-focuses the answer to the question that was asked. There are no ratings-infused questions, but vividly relevant dialogue that sticks to the subject. I rarely see that in American journalism, and I definitely don’t see that with Megyn Kelly.
