
In Denver, you can practically find a tap house or niche brewery on every block. But once you get up into the northern suburbs of Adams County, the frequency of original, brewed in-house beer selections dwindles significantly. But as the population of young families continues to explode all along the east metro area, more tiny tap rooms and brewpubs are finding Adams County neighborhoods to settle into. In the last few years, a handful of pioneers have brought their specialty pints up north, here they are:
Creede Brewing Company

dzܳ:The founders of the first brewery in unincorporated Adams County (2014) spent a lot of time in Creede, Colo., growing up, and they both love beer. That’s why opening Creede Brewing Company was almost fate. “(Our name) is a tribute to the town and the tradition of the Wild West. Creede was a boon town in the late 1800s, and when people come in our brewpub, they’re not sure what that means,” owner Jason Moe said. “But they look at the pictures and the beers and we’re able to talk to them about it and explain the naming convention of our beers, like the Short Fuse Scottish Ale and the Poker Alice Brown Ale.” The small spot in a strip mall across from Boyer’s Coffee also feature infused liquors.
Floodstage Ale Works

Many breweries around the nation have dabbled with tea infusion, but half of our selection of beers on tap are tea-infused beers. This is the only full-on brewery in Brighton
River North Brewery

dzܳ:Last year, River North Brewery, which specializes in Belgian-style ales, moved from its namesake neighborhood in Denver to a much larger space that was built in Adams County. At nearly 9,000 square feet — double the size of the old space — the new facility in Adams County has a brew house with a four-vessel, 15-barrel system.

Big Choice

dzܳ:The first expansion of the Broomfield-based brewery, Big Choice will renovate a former Buddhist temple in downtown Brighton. The new taproom will have a 15- to 20-tap system, growing from the eight-tap system it has now. It will also allow for an increased occupancy of 180 people, up from the current location’s capacity of 50.
