Happy National Tequila Day, Denver. The holiday may not get you off of work, but it will still give you and your coworkers something to look forward to at the end of a long Monday. We’ve assembled a list of some tasty margaritas and tequilas in metro Denver so you can celebrate the holiday right.

Marg’s Taco Bistro

Marg’s reinvents Latin cuisine by combining traditional flavors with newer ingredients and dishes. Food pairs well with house margaritas, which feature over 21 available flavors of rare tequila so you can celebrate the holiday with variety.

Did someone say $5 margarita? Comida’s happy hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m. with $5 margs or $18 for a jar of flavors like’Watermelon Jalape’o Margarita and’Pineapple Habanero Margarita. With metro locations inside The Source and , you don’t have any excuses.

Cochino Taco

Catch Cochino’s daily happy hour from 3-6 p.m. for a $4 margarita and cheap tacos to boot. Try the signature Cochino Donkey Show mixed with tequila, lime, and ginger beer for a cool, unique holiday treat.

Chuy’s

This Tex-Mex chain offers some of the most consistent Texas-sized margaritas this side of the Rio Grande. The house signature Grand Ma’s Rockin’ Rita goes well with just about anything on the menu, from fresh-cooked chicken quesadillas to baja tacos worth a bite.

Tamayo

Tamayo’s three-page tequila menu will have you giddy with holiday cheer. Happy hour ends at 6 p.m. every day and features house tequila for just $5. And that’s not even to praise the establishment’s food, for which restaurateur Richard Sandoval is best known.

La Loma

The margarita staple recently opened in new digs downtown, where the Mexican restaurant promises $8 arta silver tequila at Happy Hour and house specialty barrel tequila shots for $10. “A holiday no one wants to miss,” the restaurant .

Tacos Tequila Whiskey

Tacos Tequila Whiskey’s all-night Monday happy hour lets patrons of its two Colorado locations – City Park, at York and Colfax; and Highland on West 32nd Ave. – enjoy house margaritas for as little as $4. Also be sure to try what anointed as the best taco in Colorado.

Machete

How do hand-crafted margaritas and street tacos sound after a long Monday? Machete’s menu boasts “the finest 2.5 oz margarita in Colorado,” so you’ll just have to see for yourself. Our personal favorite is the Cucu, a skinny cucumber margarita. Oh yea.

Los Chingones

The Rockies might not be in town, but the area around Coors Field will be active as restaurants like Los Chingones offer plenty of food and drink for the tequila holiday. Try the signature lamb neck tacos. They’ll convince you to come back long after the drinks wear off.

Rio Grande

The perfect way to end a hot day is with a cold margarita on the Rio patio. Frozen, on the rocks or fruity — Rio can do it all. Locations include Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Frisco, Greeley and Park Meadows.’
