
U.S. Rep. Ken Buck is holding two town halls in eastern Colorado this Saturday amid news that .
The Weld County Republican will be at the Sterling Public Library from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and then at the Kit Carson Fairgrounds from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
“The event offers constituents the opportunity to hear directly from the congressman and share their thoughts and questions,” Buck’s office said in a news release. “Congressman Buck appreciates receiving feedback and ideas from constituents that he can take back to Washington.”
In a blistering critique of his Republican colleagues, Buck over the weekend at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver for inaction on issues ranging from health care to financial regulations.
“Congress is letting this president down, not the other way around,” Buck told thousands at the gathering. “This president is leading, and Congress needs to figure out how to get things onto his desk.”
Buck told The Denver Post earlier this month that he is considering a run for Colorado attorney general in 2018 if , the current officeholder, decides to join .
Two Republican operatives said that Buck, a two-term lawmaker from Windsor, has begun to talk about the possibility, and he confirmed his interest in a brief phone interview with The Post’s politics team.
