Adams County DA charges two in man’s death at Westminster motel

The Adams County District Attorney’s office has filed first-degree murder charges against two men in the July 19 strangulation death of a 57-year-old man at a Westminster motel.

Jeremy Lee Nichols, 33, and Joshua Isaac Hime, 37, have each been charged with first-degree murder after deliberation, and first-degree felony murder in the death of Jerome Lee Coleman.

Coleman was found dead on the floor in his room at the Super 8 Motel at 12055 Melody Drive.

Nichols was advised of the charges Tuesday in Adams County District Court, according to Sue Lindsay, spokeswoman for District Attorney Sue Lindsay. His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 22.

Hime will be formally advised of the charges on Wednesday.
