Re: July 19 news story.
As a frequent traveler for both business and pleasure, I applaud Denver International Airport for pursuing big ideas in the face of harsh criticism. From the time that DIA was first proposed, the idea was fought by airlines, politicians and pundits. But time has proven naysayers wrong, and today we have one of the best airports in the country. Itap efficient, it can grow over time, and it contributes tens of billions of dollars to our economy each year. But anyone who travels internationally realizes that U.S. airports are falling behind. DIA’s plan for its Great Hall project with safer TSA checkpoints and an improved experience is not only necessary, itap visionary. No matter how loud the voices of the naysayers may get, the airport should push ahead and once again prove them wrong. After all, history tends to repeat itself, and the airport will be better positioned for the future.
