After lending a hand in the Nuggets’ pitch to free-agent power forward Paul Millsap, Broncos linebacker may not be done helping Denver’s NBA franchise.
“I’m trying to work on my point guard skills,” Marshall said after showing off the Nuggets socks, sent to him by the team, that he wore during practice Sunday. “I’m only tall enough to play point.”
The Nuggets made Marshall a customized No. 54 jersey in gratitude for him joining their convoy that met Millsap at his home near Atlanta on July 1, a meeting that led to Millsap signing a three-year, $90 million deal with Denver.
Asked whether he could help the Nuggets broker a deal for all-star point guard Kyrie Irving, who has requested to be traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Marshall said: “If they give me a call, I’ll fly out.”
