A witness told Longmont police that a over the weekend in retaliation for “getting beat up.”

Bolt’s bond was set at $50,000 during his first court appearance Tuesday at the Boulder County Jail. He is due back in court to be formally charged Aug. 3.
He faces seven counts of second-degree arson in connection with seven grass fires set across Longmont on Sunday night. They ranged in size from a 4-foot-by-4-foot patch to a 30-foot-by-120-foot patch near Roger’s Grove, Golden Ponds and Left Hand Brewing Company.
“The fires burned in open spaces that are in the vicinity of structures,” Longmont police wrote in an arrest report. “If the fire got out of control, it would cause damage to the structures.”
According to the report, a witness told police that Bolt “was starting the fires along the greenway as retaliation for him getting beat up.”
