Denver police officers are investigating a fatal collision between a car and a pedestrian early Tuesday morning and have taken one person into custody.

The collision happened at the intersection of 40th Avenue and Havana Street, according to a 7:30 a.m. Denver police tweet. Information about the victim has not been released.
Rush hour traffic will be affected.
Police have closed both 45th and 37th avenues at Interstate 70 for the investigation.
