Wednesday’s forecast calls for scattered rain and thunderstorms with temperatures peaking in the upper 70s.

It will be partly sunny with a high of 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

There’s a 30 percent chance of afternoon and evening rain and thunderstorms. Light winds out of the southwest of between 5 and 9 mph are expected.

The chance for rain increases a bit on Thursday afternoon and evening when there is a 40 percent chance for precipitation, the weather service says.

It will be slightly warmer on Friday with a high of about 82 degrees, forecasters say. The chance for afternoon rain and thunderstorms diminishes Friday and through the weekend. There’s only a slight chance for rain Sunday through Tuesday, the weather service says.

Temperatures will gradually increase during the first part of next week, rising to around 85 degrees on Tuesday.
