A curve visible in the fabric of the skirt Taylor Swift was wearing on the day she was photographed with David Mueller shows the former KYGO radio host was grabbing her buttocks at the time, Swift’s mother testified Wednesday.

“The dress is made of somewhat stiff fabric, it didn’t fly with the wind, it didn’t in any way lose its shape,” Andrea Swift said during the third day of the trial between Swift and Mueller in U.S. District Court.

“It would have to have been pushed up to make that curve,” Andrea Swift said. “In order to make that piece pop out, it would have to have been lifted.”

The curve she referred to appears as a flair in the , which is a piece of evidence in the trial.

Swift was performing heavily at the time the shot was taken in June 2013, and there was no fat in the area of the curve that could have pushed the fabric out. “There are no hips,” Andrea Swift said.

Swift was visibly upset by the incident when she told her mother about alleged assault soon after it happened. “That made me question why I taught her to be polite in that moment,” Andrea Swift said, her voice breaking.

Andrea Swift never doubted her daughter’s story. And when she saw the picture of Taylor Swift standing  and his girlfriend, it was obvious something had been wrong when the photo was taken at a pre-concert event.

Taylor Swift went on to perform her concert at the Pepsi Center. Two days later, KYGO fired Mueller, who was co-host of the station’s morning show.

Andrea Swift said she, and other members of Swiftap management team,

Andrea Swift said she knew if the allegations became public, the incident would dominate every interview Swift gave. She also feared internet trolls would use the incident to embarrass her daughter by Photoshopping “funny things,” into pictures of the superstar.

Under questioning from Mueller’s lawyer, Gabe McFarland, she said that she felt Mueller should be fired. But she never suggested that anyone on her management team should demand his dismissal.

Frank Bell, who handles radio promotion for Swift, said several people, including the photographer who took the picture, told him that it was obvious that something unusual happened when Mueller had his picture taken with the singer.

Andrea Swift, Bell said, “wanted to make sure that Mr. Mueller was fired, that he was no longer working there.”

He called Bob Call, market manager for KYGO’s parent Lincoln Financial Media, before 8 a.m. the next morning and told him about the incident. He told Call that he wanted it investigated, and appropriate action taken.

But he never demanded that Mueller be fired, he said.
