An Adams County man was convicted Thursday of kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault on a child.

In July 2016, Moises Godoy, 48, from an apartment complex swimming pool to his apartment, asking the child of she wanted to see his pet duck, according to an district attorney’s news release.

The girl went to Godoy’s apartment, 1769 Coronado Parkway, where he assaulted her. Another girl at the pool told investigators Godoy had been asking children if they needed help learning to swim, he also asked several others if they wanted to see his duck.

Godoy was convicted by jury of second-degree kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault of a child and enticement of a child.

He will be sentenced Oct. 26.
