As a Coloradoan, sometimes it’s hard to trust the freshness and quality of ocean fish. Surprisingly, Jeffco fish can be almost as fresh as the fish in restaurants by the sea. Check them out and see for yourself.

What the manager says: “We get our shipment of fish everyday from a Japanese company. Our best rolls depend on what every person likes. If a person likes spicy rolls, I would suggest the jalapeno roll or Mexican roll. For a lot of fish, I’d recommend a rainbow roll or Sushi Win Special. For crunch, I’d recommend the crunchy tempura tuna or The Heat. We focus on quality versus quantity. I would recommend going to a place like us where we make the rolls to order, rather than have them pre-made. — Ryan Win, manager and son of Sushi Win owners

What the owner says: “I’m the owner, the manager, and I run the front of the restaurant. I talk with the customers, serve the customers and make sure everyone has a good experience. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 30 years and have owned Halu Sushi since it opened in 2008. My personal favorite and signature roll is Marvin’s Roll. It has spicy tuna on the inside, salmon and avocado on top with spicy mayo, then it’s baked. Another good roll is the restaurant’s signature roll, the Halu Roll. It’s a unique roll, and customers like it,” Marvin Chang said.
