Chairs go for a swim. Officers were dispatched Aug. 6 to the Days Inn on the 15000 block of W. Colfax Ave., Golden. According to a police report, a man refused to leave the Days Inn after throwing several patio chairs into the pool. The man told officers he didn’t know why he had thrown the chairs into the pool. Officers asked the man to leave and not return.
An unlikely culprit. Law enforcement responded to an alarm Aug. 10 on the 3000 block of Elk View Drive, Evergreen. The homeowner asked them to clear the basement of trespassers, according to a police report. Deputies found the basement door “wide open” and no evidence of forced entry. The deputies and homeowner decided wind was to blame for blowing the door open.
When? Where? Who? On Aug. 9, Jeffco Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen trail camera. A man said the camera, last seen two months ago, was mounted to a tree on his property “about a quarter mile into the woods from the road” in Conifer. No suspects are known at this time.
Family frendzy. A family meeting reportedly turned sour Aug. 12 at a house on the 11000 block of West Iowa Drive, Lakewood and police were called. A man, his wife and his three adult sisters were meeting when the family members started yelling at each other, according to a police report. No criminal acts were reported and the officer “suggested they use a mediator” next time.
