White nationalists, neo-Nazis and members of the "alt right" clash with counter-protesters on Aug. 12 in Charlottesville, Va.I find the racist hate groups offensive and repugnant, but I struggle with violent attacks against them. When violence is used to quiet those who we oppose, where do we draw the line? When is it acceptable and when not? I would argue that there are many ways to oppose the unacceptable without violent suppression.
