Getting your player ready...

Phillip Lindsay, CU

Senior running back out of Denver South High School got the scoring started with a 45-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and had 101 yards rushing by halftime. He finished with 19 carries for 140 yards and 16 yards receiving.

Shay Fields, CU

The Buffs have a stable of star wide receivers, but it was Fields, a 5-foot-11 senior, who made the biggest mark Friday. He caught six passes for 78 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown reception that put CU ahead 17-0 in the second quarter.

Kevin Nutt Jr., CSU

Senior cornerback came in to replace the injured Anthony Hawkins and had the best game of his career, intercepting a pair of Steven Montez passes. He ripped one from the hands of CU wide receiver Devin Ross and snagged the other in the back corner of the end zone in the fourth quarter. CSU was unable to convert either turnover into points.
