At least 18 people were hurt in what British authorities are calling a terrorist attack, the fifth in the U.K. this year. Photos taken inside the train show a white plastic bucket inside a foil-lined shopping bag. Flames and what appear to be wires emerge from the top.
Hancock and others from Denver — including representatives from the police department and the Colorado Tourism Office — are visiting London on an economic development trip. It coincides with Norwegian Air’s inaugural flight Saturday .
During the visit, the group is learning about London’s transportation system and security of Heathrow Airport and how to strengthen business, trade and tourism relations with London businesses. Hancock also opened the London Stock Exchange, the third-largest stock exchange in the world.
