Doritos bartering. Officers were dispatched July 2 to a 7-Eleven, 6302 E. 72nd Ave., Commerce City. A woman approached the counter with a bag of Doritos. She tried to pay for the chips with old lottery tickets, which the clerk refused. The woman then grabbed a coffee cup and left the store without paying for the items, according to a police report. She was later arrested on suspicion of theft.
Renter’s nightmare. A woman planned to move Aug. 29 to a rental home on the 11000 block of Sherman Street, Northglenn. When she viewed the house a week earlier, it was in good condition with no damage, according to a police report. However, when she arrived to move in, the door, walls and ceiling were damaged, and a long stick had been punched through a wall. The woman notified building managers who then cleaned the damages.
Parking lot harassment. Two people were parked July 6 at a King Soopers, 4850 E. 62nd Ave., Commerce City when a stranger approached their vehicle. The man threatened to beat one of the car’s occupants. When a second reporting party tried to defend the first, the man harassed them as well, according to a police report. When the drivers told the man they were calling police, he left.
Two-wheeled road rage. Officers were dispatched Sept. 4 to the 10000 block of Marion Street, Northglenn. A man returned from work to find a long scratch on the side of his truck and the driver’s side mirror cracked, according to a police report. The reporting party suspects the truck may have been struck by a bicyclist.
