At the Aurora location for the Children’s Literacy Center, you’ll get to tutor a child one-on-one every week over the course of three months. This statewide program started in 1991 in Colorado Springs. It serves hundreds of Colorado children and operates out of Aurora at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library.

About: Live out your “Little House on the Prairie” fantasies and help the Aurora History Museum at the Coal Creek Schoolhouse site. This historic one-room schoolhouse was originally built in 1928 and is the last of its kind in Aurora. The museum is looking to train new volunteers to conduct tours for students during the week. Applicants who have experience working with elementary school-aged children are preferred.
