One of two masked men shot a Western Convenience Store clerk in the arm during a robbery early Friday morning in Colorado Springs, police say.
This is the third robbery of a Western Convenience store in three days in Colorado Springs, The Gazette reported. Colorado Springs police are investigating whether the robberies are connected but so far do not believe they are.
The robbers fled the store Friday morning and have not been caught despite an effort to track them down with a K-9.
The clerk, who was found inside the store at 227 W. Fillmore St. was taken to a hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries, according to a police report.
Falcon Division patrol officers responded to the shooting just before 3 a.m., according to a police report. The victim told police that two males entered the store brandishing handguns. Both of them were wearing masks.

Police called in a K-9 unit, which attempted to track the two suspects but it was unsuccessful.
Detectives from the robbery unit are investigating, the report says.
