As someone in a position to affect public opinion, Denver Post editorial page editor Chuck Plunkett has already put himself at the forefront of the “wrongheaded” tribal affiliation he so strongly condemns. Admittedly an “opinion journalist” (whatever that means), his inflexible liberal positions betray a blind political tribalism that makes his arguments hypocritical and, at the very least, moot.
As someone who voted for Barack Obama twice and this time for Donald Trump, I reserve the right to accuse both political factions and their leaders of idiocy and ineptitude, and the current president is no exception.
You can take all the contemplative vacations you want, Chuck, but everybody knows you’ve already picked your tribe. Is it so very hard to see both sides of any story? I think you’ve followed the same delusory instincts that you preach against in your article. You’ve become one of the political lemmings that you rage against.
