A 12-year-old boy died before 4 p.m. Friday in a traffic incident near the intersection of Wadsworth Boulevard and Three Acre Lane in Wheat Ridge, said Sara Spaulding, police spokeswoman.
Investigating an auto-pedestrian fatality in 4300 block of Wadsworth Blvd. at Three Acre Lane. 12-year-old male victim struck by car.

Southbound lanes of Wadsworth were shut down as investigators work the scene.
Three Acre Lane is just north of West 41st Avenue. The area is a busy retail strip of Wadsworth.
