A man suspected of ramming a stolen vehicle into several Fort Collins businesses, including three liquor stores, was arrested early Wednesday morning, police said.
Evan Bissonnette, 31, was taken into custody after a short foot chase, police said.
About 2:05 a.m. police received a report of a man driving a truck into Mulberry Max Liquor, 460 S. College Ave., according to a news release. Money was stolen from the store.
Smash-and-grab robberies using a truck were also carried out early Wednesday morning at Thirsty’s Liquor, 1001 S. Lemay Ave.; Lemay Liquor, 737 S. Lemay Ave.; Relay Mail, 737 S. Lemay Ave.; and Sushi Jeju, 238 S. College Ave., police said.
Officers responding to the smash-and-grabs eventually spotted the truck. The driver, identified as Bissonnette, got out of the truck and fled but was captured.
The businesses were closed at the time of the incidents, and no one was injured. The combined cost of damage is expected to exceed $250,000, police said.
Bissonnette was arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of burglary and criminal mischief. He is being held at the Larimer County jail, and additional charges are pending, police said.
