Driver who caused fatal east Boulder County crash ran red light, CSP says

Misty Deiparine to face charges in crash at 287 and Arapahoe

The surviving driver in a  that killed a 24-year-old man will be charged after investigators say she ran a red light at the intersection and smashed into the other vehicle.

The crash occurred at 5:11 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Arapahoe Road and involved two cars, a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Justin Kaczmarek and a 2012 Honda Pilot driven by Misty Deiparine, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Gary Cutler.

Investigators say that Deiparine, 46, was westbound on Arapahoe Road when she ran a red light and hit Kaczmarek, who was driving south on U.S. 287.

Kaczmarek, 24, died at the scene, while Deiparine was transported with minor injuries.
